carmela barberio, san gregorio magno, married to tortoriello

Postby kidalot » 10 Feb 2009, 03:10

still at a dead end on my great grandmother carmela barberio. her husband was gregorio tortoriello and they had 4 children that i know of: rosa, antonetta, giacomo, and guiseppina. my grandmother guiseppina was born 1896 so i am assuming great grandmother carmela was born in the 1870 or 1880's.
any barberio information might help.
thanks.

You have the exact date of birth for Carmela's daughter, correct?
And you have the town of birth, no?
Sending for the birth act of the daughter may reveal further clues for the parents. Also have you checked the Lds for microfilm?

yes i have exact date of birth of my grandmother and town my grandmother is from. i don't know anything about birth act. LDS didn't have anything. my grandmother came here and never learned english so we knew little of her family.
thanks for the hint. i guess i'll have to figure out about sending for the birth act.

The simplest method is using an interactive form letter, takes the headache out of writing!

Your letter goes to the Stato Civile office.
