Did he immigrate? If so when and where to? Spouse's name? Children? Dates of birth? Have you placed him on any records to date?

my grandfather Francesco Chimenti immigrated to US. His wife was Mary Ferrara. I found on old document that her given name was Maria not Mary. But she went by Mary.

I do not know if Frank Chimenti parents immigrated to US. I believe his parents names were Francesco Chimenti and his mothers name was, I think Paola LoIacono. I have not birth dates for these great grandparents. Would be nice to have some information on them. I think that they should have also come from Partinico.

Well, I think you have the correct manifest, I believe it is the manifest that I am using for my grandfather. I do not know anything about a brother Leonado.

As far as I thought I knew, these were my grandfathers siblings
Rosaria, Pietra, Lida, and Guesepina
All children of Francesco Chimenti and Paola LoIacono Chimenti

Since you are fairly certain of the birth town and the parents name, town of origin and you have the names of all siblings....send out a request for records.

The following site is interactive and self explanatory:

Stato Civile Request

Thank you for your help, this must be what I need to do next.

Question. I clicked on the site you gave me "Stato Civile Request"
Does this cover all of Sicily, Italy?
I gather that the request that I am sending is done via email, correct?

Who is your genealogical enthusiast? Do they charge a fee? How do you contact this person?
