Fermani in Ancona

Postby trishladish » 10 Mar 2009, 14:25

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone can start me off on my search. I've come to this search rather late in life and should certainly have started before my mother passed away!! The only information I have is as follows:

My grandfather was a avvocato (lawyer) in Ancona in the 1930's. He died in or around 1934 after having been beaten by Mussolini's troups for speaking out against Fascism. That's it. My mother, Atelia (Lelia) Fermani, married my father, Patrick Ahern, in 1945 and emigrated to the UK. I know that my grandmother re-married not long after my grandfather died (I believe her second husband was a butcher) and that I have/had an aunt of that marriage along with a couple of cousins. As for names, surnames, dates etc well your guess is as good as mine.

I know this is an absolutely enormous long shot but here goes.

Many thanks.
