DiMichele and DelPinto surname from Scoppito

Postby Ritabella » 10 Apr 2009, 14:39

Hello,
My grandparents came from Scoppito, Province of Abruzzi, in 1906. They ended up in Pennsylvania, USA. His name was Giovanni DiMichele, and he was a Carabieneri. Her name was Albina DelPinto. I would appreciate and information on these families, especially after hearing about the earthquake. I'd like to know how the village of Scoppito fared. My prayers are with all of the victims and their families.

Hello!
Perhaps one of our members from Italy can answer your question about how Scoppito fared.

Did you need help on how to research your family in Scoppito?

Do you have all of your US records, or did you need assistance with those?

Thank you!

Hi Valarie,
I have US records. I'd like to know more about the family history, and about obtaining information on family that still lives in the area. My grandmother's siblings all stayed in Italy, I believe, but most of my grandfather's came to the US.
Thank you,
Rita
