Addamo/Adamo St. Margherita, Belice, Sicily

Postby Addamo » 27 Apr 2009, 16:11

Looking for the Addamo/Adamo family. Domenico immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s. Thought I found his immigration date as 02 Jul 1907, but yesterday, discovered it is not him. His father's name was Francesco and his mother's name was Margherita Lampedusa. I am more interested in the parents and possible siblings in Italy. If anyone has any info on the Lampedusa line, that would be much appreciated as well.

Hello!

According to the microfilm notes they are in Italian
(earlier church records could have been in Latin)
Since these are microfilms of the original records they won't be translated

This may help, from FamilySearch (PDF format):

Genealogical word list will help, and the microfilm usually follows a format.

Italian

Latin
