La Lista di Leva

Postby ursulamezza » 29 Apr 2009, 10:00

I've been very interested in the mentions I've seen of la lista di leva, which I hadn't heard of before joining this Forum.

I wonder could someone give me some advice on where la lista di leva might possibly be located for my GGF who was born in Casalattico (Frosinone) in 1878? As far as I know he left Italy in 1898/9, so from my understanding of what I have read he would have been registered.

Any help would be, as always, greatly appreciated.

You can write to the Archivio di Stato di Frosinone, Ufficio Militare,Sezione Guercino) Piazza De Matthaeis 41, 03100, Frosinone, Italy.

Go to www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwisdom/saviello2.html for the form letter in Italian to request conscription records. =Peter=
