trying to find ancestors

Postby ramseyguilford » 14 Jul 2009, 16:12

I am hoping this works! I am trying to find any ancestors on my grandfathers side. His name was Pasquale Falciani born to John Falciani (born 1895)and Asunta Gioachinni(born 1902). Both believed to be born in Italy. Any information would be great if you have it.

I'm sure you will be able to get someone to help but first of all I think they would need a little more information do you know or have any clues to where in Italy they were born.?

Have you identified them on immigration records? This may list the actual town of birth, also draft registration information could identify the exact town of origin.
Where in the US did they reside? Can you provide the names of siblings to
Pasquale?
Any and all details will help members locate records leading to Italy!!

As wldspirit pointed out, since Italian records are kept at the comune, you'll need John (Giovanni?) & Assunta's birth locations to conduct your family research in Italy.

There may be a clue to John's family in Assunta's records
Could this be Assunta's ship manifest?
Do any of these names look familiar?
Thanks, Valarie
