Missing Trimarco / Barbieri Relatives

Postby Felitti-Trimarco » 15 Jul 2009, 18:53

Hello!

My great great great grandfather Domenico Trimarco (originally from Castelluccio, Cosentino - Salerno) married his third wife Margherita Barbieri in 1898 in Manhattan, New York City, USA. Domenico died in 1906 and I could never find out what happened to her after his death. She was considerably younger than him when he died. I've seen her in the 1900 US census as "Maggie" and also found her first named listed as "Maddalena" in Domenico's probate file. I've searched both the Barbieri and Trimarco surnames. I searched the marriage certificates of NYC and found someone who I thought might be her marrying again in 1907, but when I ordered the certificate it was not the person I was looking for (the certificate I ordered was a marriage to a "Giglio").

Does anyone out there have any ideas on how I might track this woman down?

THANKS!

-FT :P

Trinarco Madalena May 5 1907 17401 Manhattan
Venturini Giuseppe May 5 1907 Manhattan 17401
the surname is wrong, because sure is TRIMARCO

Do you know where the Barbieri's lived? There are Barbieri's in the Parma area of Emilia Romagna.

Hello again!

Thank you for the replies. Thanks for the information suanj!! I never would have found that marriage certificate because of the incorrect spelling of the last name. I went on to the New York department of records site and ordered it so I should have my answer in a few weeks. I also ordered another one as well which looks like it might be a candidate. We'll see! It's always an exciting process. Thanks again for the information and thanks in advance for anything else anyone can help with!

PS. I'm not sure where this Barbieri was originally from. I do have her parent's full names from her marriage to my great great great grandfather, but that's about it. Luckily, this information will allow me (hopefully) to match to any furture documents I order.

Hello! Great success! I ordered the marriage certificate for Guiseppe Venturini and Maddalena Trimarco and it was a match. This woman was previously married to my great great great grandfather Domenico Trimarco of 247 Grand St., New York NY. He died in 1906. It appears that his widowed wife married again shortly after that. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP SUANJ! I am most grateful. Any ideas of how I might find her death certificate? I think I found Guisseppe's, which is on it's way but couldn't find anything to Margherita or Maddalena Venturini.

THANKS AGAIN!

The 1907 marriage certificate lists both as being 41 years of age at the time of the marriage. Thanks again for all of your help
