Hi Valarie,

But it says on the WWI draft card that he was married / he indicates a wife? I know he was much older than my grandmother, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had been married before her.

You're right, the way that version of the draft card is worded it asks if there is anyone that he supports. The response was his wife.
It will be interesting to discover if he had any children with his 1st wife.
It would really help if we could find his 1920 or 1930 census.
Where and when did he and Marian Vecchio marry?

That's so interesting!! I don't know the date or place of their marriage, but I'll try to find out. He and Marian had their first child in 1934. I'm so excited about all this information you've discovered! I'll try to find out the marriage date and write you back. Maybe you might be able to located the 1920 or 1930 census?
