Looking for Andreaccio

Postby Fred48 » 12 Nov 2009, 19:09

Hi,
I am doing research for my wife's family and looking for information on the family name Andreaccio. I know the father (Ton) and mother (Sade) names from the 1910 US Census. I am trying to find their birth date and place of birth. Base on the census they were in the United States because their thrid child, Mary, was born in New York 1899. There other two children were born in Italy, Susie and Dannie. My wfe's grandfather (James Vincent) was born in 1902.

I am looking for any help tring to locate their origns.

Thanks,

Since there are only 12 ANDREACCIO immigrants arriving at Ellisislaqnd.org and only one ariving prior to 1900 it may be worthwhile to consider BRUNO ANDREACCIO arriving in 1893 from Montauro (provincia Catanzaro, Calabria) as the Adnreaccio family your seeking. Please let me know if you wish to obtainmore information about him. Once you have the correct Andreaccio and have his towen of origin in Italy you canrequest many documents and free of charge. =peter=

Peter,

I forgot about the Ellis Island web site, thank you for reminding me about it. I checked it and could not found the Andreaccio I am looking for.

This family is very hard to find, I find them in the 1910 census and after that they disappeared. I tried variations of the name but not luck. I just reached out to a cousin and maybe he can help.

Thanks again!!

Do you happen to know where they went to live when they first arrived inthe USA? If they came to NYC they may have been detained at Ellisisland for some adminstrative reasons and fell thru the cracks for the prior to 1900 entry. Please let me know. =Peter=

OK! I found two mispelled ANDREACCIO

One is VINCENZO ANDRACCIO arriving 1897 and the other is A. ANDREOCCIO arriving 1892.

Try these on ellisisland.org and www.castlegarden.org as well. =Peter=

Could this be James' 1930 census?
Looking for his brother Dan(?) WWI Card - it may have his birth location in Italy on it.

Hi Valarie,

Yes, they are the Andreaccio's I been looking for. The 1910 census's I found BUT the 1930 census is very intreesting. Needless, to say the spelling is different (what a surprsie) but it is so far off. The James in the 1910 census ins the same James in 1930 census.

I will check with the WWI draft cards and see if it give me any information.

Thanks very much,
