Giovanni Muscara....Please Help!

Postby clanning » 20 Nov 2009, 16:49

I am researching my family's history in an effort to make connections, for my father. Although we live in the USA, our Italian heritage is very important to us and he would be thrilled as would his siblings if we could put together, a connection with other Muscara’s living hear or in Italy.
I have been able to research all the way back to my great, great great grandfather but have now come to a roadblock. I would like to research his records to see if he had any Brothers or Sisters so that I can make the connections. Any information is greatly appreciated and welcome.
This is what I do know, I am sure the dates are correct.

Great Grandfather - Giovanni Muscara: was born circa 1852 in Santa Terese Di Riva, Messina, Sicily, Italy
Married to : Margherita Bucca – ( I can not find any information on her but I think maybe she died during child birth)

Children :
Antonia Muscara – was born on 24 May 1881 in Mascali, Catania, Sicily, Italy
Sam Muscara – was born on 30 Oct 1882 in Mascali, Catania, Sicily, Italy
Mary Muscara – Was born on 4 Mar 1888 in Riposto, Catania, Sicily, Italy
Leonarda Muscara – Was born circa 1891 in Riposto, Catania, Sicily, Italy
Grace Muscara – Was born circa 1893 in Santa Teresa Di Riva Messina, Sicily, Italy

Hello,
Grazia Muscara (Giannetto) was my grandmother. She passed away in 1976 as I recall in Sicily. All of her sisters aunt Narda, (Giugno) Nina,(Moschella) Maria (Matteo) married and lived in Pennsylvania then Cleveland Ohio, Sam's family were in Detroit. There is one last surviving niece, Virginia.
By the way the name Bucca, is correct. That is the first wife, Margherita Bucca.
Giovanni was my grandmother's father. My great-grandfather. He had 2 daughters and a son with the 2nd wife, it may have been Carmela. He died in the USA.
Please contact me at your convenience.
Antonino Giannetto
