Fillipo Tulliani Prezza, L'Aquila, Abruzzi

Post by LaBud »

Goodafternnon Everyone...I hope everyone here had a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

My latest homework assignment from Big Brother John is to find:

Fillipo Tulliani B: March 17, 1881 to Lucia Pasquale and Sabatino Tulliano in Prezza and came to America and settled in Boston, Ma.

I have had very little luck locating Fillipo, his parents or any of his siblings coming to Boston, Ma.
Brother John has just located a scribbled note that belonged to our late Aunt Josephine with Fillipo's name and arrival to America @ 1898 (27 yrs.)

Fillipo's mother [/b]Lucia Pasquale was our Dad's Gr. Aunt, which would mean that her son Fillipo is 1st cousin to our GF Giovanni Pasquale.

If this seems confusing, try being on my end and deciphering Brother John's notes.

Once again, you are all appreciated for all you do.
Grazie for any info I can obtain here.

Bravo Suanj,
This sure is our man. Another Bingo for us thanks to you! :D
He is listed living with our GF John Pasquale along with another relative Alphonse DiRamio. Maybe the Novellino guy will turn up being another cousin along the way.
Even though the birthdate appears wrong, it has to be him according to all the other info you found on Fillipo and his family.

Not only do we have Mancini listed but also seeing Alfredo Tulliani going to IL. Maybe that is who GF Giovanni Pasquale's brother Roberto went to see, and then headed to Vancouver. Some pieces are starting to fit together here Suanj.

Just with a "sneak peek" I think more of that family came through Canada (1907), maybe even our GF Giovanni Pasquale. Now wouldn't that be sweet. :)

May I ask if you or anyone else may know if Fillipo shows up anywhere with a Draft Card or on a Census?

Looks like Brother John will have some fun connecting these dots.

Thanks for the wealth of info Suanj and also the tip on the spelling of the name. You are much appreciated.

Ciao, LaBud

Hi Suanj,
Thanks for your swift reply.

I got an e-mail from someone with Fillipo's draft card info, that was obtained from Ancestry. I don't have Ancestry or Imageshack so I might have to post it by hand. It shows him living at 152 Salem St. Boston, ma. with his wife Carolina.
I also have some info on Domenico, Donato, Antonio on a Border Crossing from Canada to Boston, Ma.

It will probably take me all day to write it all out and then post it here but it will be well worth it. Remember, I just find all the info, it is Brother John that connects the dots.

Wow this is a find!

My father is Alfredo Tulliani. He came to the USA from Prezza in 1959. His fathers name was also Alfredo Tulliani, I was told he died in 1941. My father's mother was Lucia.

Very interesting, thanks for posting.

Filippo Tulliani
US World War 1 Draft Registration Card

Serial 3038

152 Salem Street Boston, Ma.
B: March 17, 1881 Age: 37

Wife: Carolina Tulliani
Prezza, Aquila, Italy

now with that info sent to me, I need to find out if Fillipo's brother's are:
Domenico B: 1886
Vito B: 1887
Cesidio B: 1896

This appears to be more puzzle pieces right now:
Antonio B: 1859 had a brother Donato B: 1862 also Domenico and Francesco. With the info sent me, they all came through St. John's New Brunswick Canada to Boston, Ma. @ July 1907

This sure is a challenging one. It may take weeks, months, years but all I can do is keep finding the dots for Brother John to connect.

Grazie to all of you.

The only information I have are stories that I have been told by my father. Alfredo Tulliani went to IL to work with his father Fillipo but they always had a difficult time getting along. I was told Fillipo had a temper. Again another story is that he killed a police officer in Italy and was not ever able to return to Italy because of it. Alfredo returned to Italy because he did not like working for his father. I was told they had quite a bit of farm land somewhere around Lake Michigan.

Hello again,

Now that is an interesting story for sure.
I'm interested in not only your Father and Mother and any sibs they may have had but more so your Grandparents and their sibs, especially Lucia.

Drop me an e-mail if you will. It will be much appreciated.
The suspense is killing me. :)

Hi Everyone,
Have yet to hear from new member Tulliani that I sent a PM to. It would be great to get info from this person to connect a few more dots. I'll be patient. :)

I received more info since Suanj posted about Filippo Tulliani and am so greatful to her.
Her post reads he was heading to a cousin's house in Seattle...Alberto Pasquale.

Alberto Pasquale B: July 29, 1885 in Prezza, Italy, arrived Apr. /12/1902
married to Nicoletta, had 2 children: Frances B:1924 and Mary B:1923
living at 512 27th Ave. Seattle, Washington
Alberto naturalized Feb. 1, 1936

Now to find out who Alberto Pasquale is...could it be a misprint and he is indeed Roberto Pasquale, our GF's brother? Same Birthdate/Yr.

Again, his relationship could be to Lucy Pasquale (Filippo's mother)

Heading back to digging again. I'll need a new shovel before long.

Grazie,
LaBud

Hello,

I just found this posting and I am very excited. I am the great-grandaughter of Alberto and Nicoletta Pasquale. I have been searching for many years with little results about the extended family and you have added some pieces to the puzzle. I know that Alberto came to America when he was about 15 years old. I have very few details surrounding that time period and his family other than when and where he was born in Italy. His wife Nicoletta Rose Sargent was born in Rome. Before meeting Alberto she was married to a Mr Bolea and that union produced my great-aunt Virginia. I believe that Nicoletta was very young at that time, around 16 or 17. Unsure of the details surrounding that but fast forward to her marriage to my great-grandfather Alberto. That union produced my great-aunt Mary and then my grandfather Frank Pasquale. Mary was a nurse in Seattle and had a little memory book with her home address written in the front cover as 512 27th Ave Seattle,WA. Alberto worked in the steel mill in downtown Seattle and Nicoletta was very active in politics. I have a photograph of Alberto and Gabriel Pasquale. Until now I did not know how Gabriel was related. I am hoping that you will be able to add some more pieces to my puzzle as it is something I have wondered about for many years. Here is some more interesting info. Nicoletta's parents were Alfred Sargent and Rose Gentile. I have many photos I would like to share with you. My grandmother was also married before meeting my grandfather. Her daughter is Donna Tetzlaf. Then my grandparents only had my father, Michael Albert Pasquale. He and my mother Sandra Jean Randall had myself and my 2 sisters. Unfortunately the Pasquale name ended with my dad. I have 2 girls and 2 boys, Becky the next in line has 4 boys and my youngest sister Toni has 2 girls and 1 boy. I hope this post finds you well and with the information I have been seeking.
