1930's Census Report...

Postby SChiarini » 01 Dec 2009, 06:01

Hi all,

I've been looking for the US 1930's census records of relatives (named Proscia, Ferrante) I found the 1930's report on my own using the Ancestry.com, however I am unable to view it. I used to have a memebership but I cancelled it back in Sept because I was searching for a different grandparent and didn't find the information I needed.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to send me a copy of the report image or provide the information I am now unable to access and view. If possible, e-mail me jpg copies of the reports? Send them to Schiarini@aol.com or just post a link to an uploaded copy of them

Name : Francesco Proscia
Spouses Name: Angelina Ferrante -- Her name comes up as "Lema" though - guess they meant to put Lena
Address: 1619 79th Street, Brooklyn NY
Kings County --Eastern District
Birthdate- Sept 6, 1889

I just wanted to make sure he was listed as an alien .

Also, how would I go about obtaining these records to prove he was not naturalized. Would I go through NARA?

Thanks so much!!!
Stephanie

You can order a certified copy from NARA - National Archives.

Here is a link to the page in which you can oder it.

Hi guys,

I ordered the 1930's census that states my GGF was an alien at the time (April 1930) however, my grandmother (who i am trying to obtain citizenship though) was born in July,,,, so is the 1930's census a waste to have?

My GGF died in 1932 so I'm not even sure if a 1940 census would suffice?
