Roccamandolfi. Molise and Compobosso

Postby hollygianfrancesco » 04 Dec 2009, 13:58

I have discovered many Gianfrancesco's originating in this area. Most married in San Giacomo Maggiore Church there.
I am geographically challened with the google map thing but wonder if this is near to Capriati a Volturno and or Gallo, Caserta.
Pin pointing an area to start when I go to Italy is crucial.
Is it possible this church is still there?
Seems that some men were very old when they fathered children.
I am starting to think many are missing in the ancestry.com trees available.
I suppose there are many trying to connect the people as I am.
I love this site so much.
The members here are so helpful and knowledgeable.
Thank you in advance for any additional help you may provide.

If you are geographnically challenged one of the best sites (and there are severalothers as well) the suit my sensibilities is www.mappy.com. Just put the town name and click on the blue. If you wish select italy way upper left. =Peter=

Most married in San Maggiore Church there...Is it possible this church is still there?

Are you referring to Santa Maria Maggiore in the comune of Campobasso?

In addition to Roccamandolfi and Campobasso, I have also found one line of Gianfrancesco from the comune of Cantalupo.
