any information on these families would be greatly appreciated, they came from luzzi cosenza and mantalto uffugo cosenza.

Hola Mire,

Mi tatarabuela fue Magdalena Garritano, llego a Motevideo-Uruguay aproximadamente en 1885. Estaba casada con Jose Gamero.
Nacio entre 1842/48 en la provincia de Cosenza, pero aun no se la comuna.
Agradezco los datos que me puedas aportar de ese apellido.

Hay solamente un archivo de la llegada de 5 personas con el nombre Giuseppe Gamero sin nombre de Magdalena Garritano. De los 5 4 eran casado y llegaron en 1882,83,84,86 and 97 . Peter

where are you from?
I from Montevideo Uruguay, South America.
My grangrandmother was Magdalena Garritano, went to Montevideo near 1885.She married with Jose Gamero
She borned in 1842/48 in any town of Cosenza.
She had 4 child : Filomena, Pedro, Antonio and Concepcion

I am researching the Porco name. My wife's maiden name is Parco. Her grandfather was Porco and lived in Pittsburgh where a number of her relatives still reside. My understanding is that the family is from Lago.

hi my greartgrandmother's last name was porco but i have not found any information on her but if you are interested my sister-in-law is a porco and is from lago, you can e-mail her if you like at smammone@yahoo.ca. she has been working on her familytree for a few years now good luck with your search .
