Family Search pilot has US census records for 1880, 1900, and 1920:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsea ... html#start

Heritage Quest Online can often be accessed by subscribers to a local public library or a university library, etc. Heritage Quest has a partial database for 1930 census records, but it has full records for 1920, 1910, 1900, and a number of earlier years.

Both services are free.

You may also access Ancestry.com for free at your local Family History Center. Ancestry has the Census records through 1930.

Our local Family History Center no longer has access to Ancestry.com.
I'd suggest calling the center in your area before you visit, to find out if they have it.

Check with your local public library, many of them have free access to a number of databases. Also your local genealogy society may provide databases free of charge for members, mine does.
