Giovanna Laiosa and Concetta De Fusco

Am looking for information on this couple. They are both from Sicily (Lecara Alta) and one of their sons (Salvatore Laiosa )was born in 1879 and traveled to the USA in 1901 so I am not sure what their birth/death dates are. How would I go about finding them? How would I find any information on the entire family.

Thank you for all your help!!

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Can you confirm that this is Salvatore's manifest? He was very young when he travelled.

Youy may wish to approximate the year of biirthsince Comune clerks in researching documents will check for 5 to sometimes 10 years for a record.

Go to www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwisdom/it ... tters.html for brith, marriage and death records as well as Certificate of family composiiton by name, date and place of birth of each family member (Certificato di Stato di Famiglia Storico is the title). =Peter=

This may be a later manifest for Salvatore (1908) which notes that he is now married and returning to USA to his wife Ninfa (sp?) Berccola at 41 E. 81st St., New York. He is from Lercara, Palermo. He is on line 30.

Interesting to note that on line 29 is another man (Francesco Marici) from Lercara who is leaving in Lercara his wife Maria Berccola.

Debbie,
I agree with Tessa :D , the town appears to be Lercara (Lercara Friddi) in Palermo Province.
