Antonio Jacob Petrini born in Lucca 1745

Postby petrinisuecia » 27 Jan 2010, 14:13

I'm not sure if this page is only for italians that moved to America?

My husbands family (which live in Sweden) has an ancester named Antonio Jacob Petrini who was born in Lucca Italy 1745. He came to Sweden early in the 1770 as an musician at the swedish court. His fathers name was Wilhelm Petrini and his mothers name was Maria Zappia. I guess they made the names moore "swedish-like" in the archives here....

In 1785 he married a swedish girl named Christina Sjöberg and from that time we have the history but how will we find out anything about what happend before he came to Sweden? There might even be some relatives in Lucca today.

Any help is appriciated! Petrini family in Stockholm

There are some old messages on Ancestry.com from 2000 to 2003 on "Petrina line from Lucca" I found the link by googling 'Petrini name Italy". It is one of the first few entries.

Sorry, I don't know how to post links.

Good luck.

Suanj, I must say that it is many things that match with what you found!
I didn't get moore out of it on the www.familysearch unfortunately.

But I guess this must be moore than an coincidence, thank you very much. Maybe his father Wilhelm was from Lucca so he ment that his family was italian. A relative to us make a big search years ago and found out everything back to when he arrived to Sweden.

If anyone else have moore info we will be very greatful!
