Raso family in Kentucky

Postby Jwmann2 » 30 Jan 2010, 00:47

I was looking for information on relatives of mine. The mother and her children, Tomasina Raso, settled in Kentucky in 1919/1920. They arrived from England, but the husband had arrived before them. She lists his name as Joseph Raso, which I would assume was once Giuseppe Raso. Could anyone find out if his name was originally Giuseppe and who he stayed with when he first moved to KY? Her information can be find via Ellis Island here....

She was born in Caserta I do believe. Thank you so much.

Not Sure. Was wondering if anyone could find a record of Joseph and his entry into the U.S. I am curious to see who he was coming to stay with that was already in the states. Was his name Giuseppe at one time?

This may be Giuseppi's manifest. Giuseppi is the Italian form of Joseph.

Tomasina is my great grandmother. Mary was my grandma. My dad has done the full genealogy with family in England. If you have another question, email me at tjm226@hotmail.

Giuseppe is the Italian form of Joseph, not "Giuseppi."
