surname Palmieri from Ciro.

Postby dsmart » 19 Feb 2010, 22:05

My grandfather was Nicodemis or Nicodemas, his father was Anthony. From Ciro. My understanding his father was wealthy, owned some land. Born around 1883.

Mail to Ciro UFFICIO DI STATO CIVILE with address located under MUNICIPIO at www.tuttitalia.it/calabria/15-ciro There is no charge.

You can also go to nearest family history library of Mormon church fror CIRO vital statistics at www.familysearch.org for about $5.00 if you wish to go that route. Please advise for more information. =Peter=

main reason I am so excited is because my grandmother raised me and I never knew anything about her family. My grandfather passed away before I was born.... so very appreciated.

As Peter :D suggested earlier in your post,

For Italian records:
you could review your family’s records on microfilm.

Your nearest Family History Center has records for Ciro on microfilm.
The cost is about $6 mo (rent), you’ll need to go to the center to order & view them.
