I believe it says that they wish to inform you they have sent the requested document today, presumably via postal mail.

It does say that the requested document has been sent as of today but does not state the means used to send it. The town official states that he is always at your disposal.

Dear Orphan Boy I happened to catch your new inquiry and what you may not be aware of and should know for your own edificiation is that the Cognomix people to whom you apparently wrote in a separate inquiry went a step further and located the source of your surname as being in the City of (and provincial capital) Livorno in the Toscana region unless you already had requested your document from Livorno prior to your connecting with Cognomix.

In any event it would be nice if you would inform us as to what the Livorno document says about your heritage and surname genealogy in view of its rarity. =Peter=
