D'Onofrio, Pasquale,DelCollo,D'Elia

Postby RDOnofrio » 08 Mar 2010, 17:23

Good afternoon..My name is Robin D'Onofrio and both sets of grandparents on my Father's side came over and resided in the Philadelphia area (Delaware). They were originally from Campobasso, specifically Pietracatella and Riccia areas. Any help from anybody knowing anything about Luigi Pasquale and his wife Concetta ?

Thank you.

One more thing..I know Luigi Pasquale came over to Ellis Island in 1899 and sent back for his wife Concetta and kids Nicolino, Guglielmo and Antonietta..Antonietta married Raffaele D'Onofrio in America..they are my great grandparents. They both died in Wilmington, Delaware.

Both Raffaele D'Onofrio and Antonia Pasquale appear in the Orphan's Court Philadelphia Marriage License Index for 1885-1916. Their marriage license from 1906 is # 195302. You can access this index by going to familysearchlabs.org. Scroll down to where it says Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Marriage Indexes and do a search of each of their names. Antonia has two middle initials M & T in the index.

On the 1910 census, I see this family on the census for Philadelphia (Ward 26, ED 575, sheets 5B and 6A). Perhaps someone on this forum will be nice enough to upload to this website the two pages of this census for you.

The family is living at 1412 South 13th Street in Philadelphia. Luigi is 53, year of immigration given as 1899, Naturalized, Concetta is 46. Year of immigration given as 1902. Son Dominick is 28, year of immigration given as 1899 like his father. He was a barber and had filed his first papers for the naturalization process. They are one lines 98-100 of page 5B. On the next page, there is a daughter-in-law named Adela, age 23, a son, Giovanni, age 20, son William age 16, son Joseph age 11 and a granddaughter named Concetta, age 5. All except the granddaughter are listed as having been born in Italy. Granddaughter is listed as being born in Pa.
