Tepedino's in Padula

Postby CharlieR » 07 Apr 2010, 15:38

I'm looking for any information from either side of the Atlantic regarding
Michael Anthony Tepedino and Angelina (Waglione) Tepedino.
Both born in Padula mid to late 1890's and married in Brooklyn around 1910.
Looking to see if I have any family still in Padula.
My grandfather did have a sister but I have no information regarding a first name or a married name.

by any chance do you know of a good email address for something official in the Padula City Government. Anything I see online and use results in a underliverable error.

http://www.comune.padula.sa.it/

This is the official website for the city of Padula. Under the category online, there is orario di ufficio. If you click on that you get information concerning the hours of the anagrafe or registry office. There is no email link there though. However, at the top of the initial page of the website, there is the following email address:

info@comune.padula.sa.it

I would give it a try.

Hello T
Thank you!
Charlie gave us some great information
I didn't have any luck finding a WWI Card
It would be nice to find his exact birth date

maestra36
Great llink to the comune!
Surprising how many comunes don't have published email addresses

Charlie :D
Please keep us updated on your research

Checked over what has been found above but didn't notice Michele Tepedino's manifest...

Michele Ant Tepedino, 22, single, farm laborer (line 1)
13 January 1912, arriving NY on Oceania, leaving father Giovanni in Padula, going to uncle Giuseppe Cesario, 616 Lincoln St., Brooklyn.

I'll continue to search for WWI card.

Here is a WWII registration card for Michael Tepedino living at Lincoln Road, Brooklyn (then Lincoln Rd crossed out and E. New York Ave. written over it.)
Wife Angelina Tepedino
Date of Birth for Michael listed as November 28, 1889 in Salerno.(Padula is in the Province of Salerno)
