Soldani Family

Postby soldi » 29 Apr 2010, 02:56

I am looking for any information about the Soldani surname and any family history.
The people I would like to research are my grandmother: Louisa Soldani (maiden name Bosco) and my grandfather, Ercole Balilla Soldani. My grandmother was born in 1897 and died in 1964 and my grandfather was born in 1888 and died in 1939. They lived in Boston, Massachusetts and I have no idea when they emigrated and where they were from (Ibelieve somewhere in Sicily). I have their naturalization papers. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much! This is more information about my grandfathert than I have been able to obtain thru the family or online at other sites. I never met him as he passed away long before I was born. Alfonso (Alphonse) was my father. Wondering if any more info can be obtained on my grandmother Louisa, maiden name Bosco. It appears that they were married in America sometime after she emigrated in 1911. You indicate that the 1920 census says she arrived then. Would like to know where she was born.

Thank you for your help!

Not sure if you mean Certificate of Naturalization and/or Petition and Declaration
Here's Ercole's Petition for Naturalization just in case you don't have it:

Thank you, Thank you wldspirit, vj and Riccardo.

This is amazing information. I am especially happy knowing the names of my great grandparents. I now can surmise how my father, Alfonso and his sister Angelina got their names.

Riccardo, I assume that you meant that Ercole was born in Castelcivita, Salerno when you said "he" was born there.

Still no indication where my grandmother Louisa Bosco was born.

Very grateful for the help,
Soldi
