WW1 Draft

Postby Seraphina » 09 May 2010, 13:11

Apologies, I put this request on my previous posting, but realised is should be a new topic.

I hope someone can answer the following question:-

Is there any way of finding out whether or not a naturalised American actually served in WW1? My family member, Joseph J Pronati, had a Draft Registration Card for 1917-1918, but I wonder if he actually served in Europe.

This article may be helpful:

The 1973 fire destroyed U.S. Army personnel records created from 1912 to 1963, but it did not damage U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps personnel files.

Thanks, Johnny,

I'll try both sites and see what I can find.
