Looking for some much appreciated help

Postby west0258 » 27 May 2010, 13:21

Hello everybody,

Im looking for some information on someone. She is my fathers, mother, but we have very little information on her as she died when my father was only 2 and my fathers, father is not much help as he did not talk to my father and therefore only left a box when he died. Therefore im now stuck with a box full of letters and pictures and other assortments which are in cursive Italian. It is all hard to read even for my father who can speak it fluently.

Therefore the only information i know about her is that:

Name: Bruna Cocco later marrying in to the Amantia Family
Died: 1963? (Questionable as my father was born in 1961 and she died when he was 2 years old)
Province: Palermo, Sicily
Married: Vincenzo Amantia
Originated: Rome

I know i dont have much information to go on but anything in general would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Quick question: Did Bruna die in the US or in Italy?

I presume her marriage took place in Italy; correct?

Yeah her marriage was in Italy. I also just found out she was previously Roman.

And yes she died in Italy.

Ok, i know who she married. Vincenzo Amantia. (Not sure about the spelling for the first name)

If you can scan the letters, documents, etc., and post them to the Italian Translation forum at this site, we would be happy to help you decipher the contents. There are many volunteers here who are skilled at reading the old Italian script.

Post to an image-sharing site like
www.imageshack.com
or
photobucket.com
