Searching for "Vito" Surname

Hello to all.

Im from america, my surname in fact is "Huito", But in the south of Chile I have data that my surname originally was "Vito" or "Vitto", changed in 188x, I wanna know if someone have info about this surname and help me please, I have search, but i dont have find anything yet.

Both "Vito" and "Vitto" exist in Italy today. To see the distribution of the name use this site. Where is asks "cognome" put in the last name...

De donde vinieron sus familares en Cile de Italia? Es posible que entraron por Buenos Aires de una lista de alredor 200 Italianos con el apellido VITO y 35 VITTO. =Peter=

E io sono figlio di Italiani e lo so che VITO e Nome MA!! e anche cognome con VITTO...www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi e mette VITO e poi dopo VITTO nella parte sopra sinistra clickando la frecce rosso. =Peter=

cmq vitto che mostrano il loro numero sono esattamente 378 sparsi un po in tutta italia adesso cerco meglio dove vi e' piu' presenza in quale regione

La basilicata e mi sto insegnando il dialetto che mentre che ricercava la stemma di famiglia e la storia ho trovato un libro scritto in dialetto nel 1872 con traduzione in Italiano e poi ho sentito parlare i nonni etc etc. =Peter=

siciliana dalla nascita con origini messinesi da padre di mio papa e catanese da nonna da parte di mamma un bel casinò inoltre ho anche saputo che il nonno era di matera dalle tue parti d'origini
