Need translation help

Postby dixiecricket13 » 20 Jul 2010, 18:38

Hi -

This is a wedding record for Michael Salvaggio and Maria Romano. All of my sleuthing has led me to believe that Michael must have another name of Bernardus because it is a Bernard and Maria Romano that are listed as parents of Francesca Salvaggio (who is supposedly born around 1884 but I can find no record of). Nor can I find a record of a Bernard Salvaggio married to a Maria Romano. You can see my family tree problems on Ancestry.com under Naro family tree.

Anyway there appears to be some water damage to this record and it makes it even harder for me (with my no Italian skills) to interpret who all of the people are. Please help if you can and thank you in advance.

Thank you so much. I had seen records of Michael Salvaggio and a Ignatio Lorino being married, so when I saw her name in this record I was absolutely puzzled as to what I was reading.

Thank you so much for your quick help with this.

Ignatius (in italian Ignazio) is a male name, Ignatia (Ignazia) is the female equivalent

Ciao

Sorry. I did know that but was typing so quickly I didn't catch my error. I really do appreciate your help. I now think that this record is not the appropriate couple so I am off to sleuth some more.
