help me find grandpa's family

Postby nmusto » 26 Jul 2010, 22:55

My grandfather Giovanni "john" Musto was born in Apice, Italy in 1892 to Domenica Musto and Lucia Crancusio. He came to the US in 1900 with his sister Rosa arriving in NY and destine to meet thier Father Domenico who resided in Mass. In the 1910 census he was listed as living in Rhode Island as a worker on the farm of jonathan Cahoon. According to my father he broke from his family over marrying a divorced woman with two kids, non-italian and not of the faith. According to my father, long dead now, we have relatives in the Staten Island area. The name he remember were Carmine, tony, joseph, mary and louise. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
