Italian Brick wall!

Postby Frasenelli » 21 Aug 2010, 12:07

I recently emailed the anagrafe office in Pontremoli to try and find out my information of my husband's great great grandfather who was born on the town around 1837, his name was Giovanni Frassinelli.
The email that came back was that they had no records before 1850. :(

Does anyone know if there is anywhere else to try?
So frustrating!!

There may be military records for him in the Archivio di Stato Provinciale in MASSA CARRARA. PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU NEED ADDRESS.

Go to and look under Conscription records and form letter to request his records, if any.

Church records may your last choice and go to for PONTREMOLI. =Peter=
