Rizzo's of Utica New York

Postby bandleader » 02 Sep 2010, 02:50

Hi, I'm so happy to have found this site! Not having much luck researching my family at places like ancestry.com.

In particular I was hoping for some help with my grandparents and their parents. My father's father was Frank Rizzo, who came to the US in 1912, born in 1887 and died in 1969. My father's mother was Assunta Ambruso, born about 1891 and died in 1933. Her parents were Rocco Ambrose and Theresa Dellasandro.

My mother's father was Giovanni DeGeronimo (changed to DeJerome), born about 1892 and died in 1961 and her mother was Carmelena Cataldi, born about 1902 and died in 1946. Carmelena's parents were Ugo Cataldi and Clarice Dellicolli. Carmelena had a brother Eliseo, but I can't find any info on him.

Clarice had brothers, Umberto (Humbert), Adolpho and Angelo and Lyons.

Interesting fact, Umberto married Giovanni's sister, Antonetta DeGeronimo. Giovanni's mother-in-law was Clarice DelliColli, Umberto's sister.

But that's all I know. Would love to hear from anyone who knows more!
