Grandfather Mario Zucchini from Pontinia?

Post by Emmy »

I've just had a request from someone who is trying to locate her grandfather.
He was a P. of W. in England and also worked in the Isle of Wight for a year or two. His name was Mario Zucchini and all they know is that he came from the town of Pontinia and returned there after the war. At the moment I dont know the aprox date of his birth.
Grateful for any ideas about this. (I have asked if she can find which camp/area in England he was at.)

Grateful for any ideas re this, I havent heard of this area in Italy before.
