Carpeneti

Postby vickig » 29 Oct 2010, 22:07

Hello, I have requested help in obtaining a birth certificate several times (once regular mail and once e-mail) from Carpeneti and have received no reply. I know the procedure for getting a birth certificate from Torino... i.e.
send euros in cash and internatiional postal certificate and that worked there.
Any ideas on what to do with Carpeneti?

How long ago did you send your "snail mail" request?

Did you send to this address?

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Piazza Matilde di Canossa, 1
42033 Carpineti (RE)
ITALY

The LDS family History Center shows only civil records for 1806-1814 for Carpineti. Maybe the records you want are not there in the comune...

Possibly there are some records for Carpineti in with the following microfilms-

Registri dello stato civile di Reggio nell'Emilia (Reggio nell'Emilia), 1689-1894

Births, marriages, deaths, census. Includes records of smaller cities in the area as well as the city of Reggio Emilia. Also includes some records of the Jewish and Swiss populations in the city, as well as records kept while the city was under French domination between the French Revolution and the War of 1812.

Thank you for your help. I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas.
