LORETO Piazza son of Manfredi and Rosalia Lo Destro

I received this information from Centro Meridionale Ricerche Genealogiche
and I am trying to figure out the link.

They have found a LORETO Piazza son of Manfredi and Rosalia Lo Destro (b. 1/6/1862 + 10/9/1947), married with CALCEDONIA Scarpinato 4/23/1887

I am trying to find if Manfredi and Rosalia Lo Destro had any other children and how Manfredi and Rosalia are related to Girolamo Piazza and Teresa Lodato or Lo Dato who had the following children.

Cristofaro (+ 12/8/1904) married with Concetta Ciappa 1/23/1875
- Rosolino (b. 7/7/1884 + 1/7/1931) married with Anna Maria Messina 10/7/1906
- Vincenzo (b. 5/26/1887) married with Vincenza La Paglia 9/28/1900. He emigrated in Albenga in 1957
- Salvatore (b. 11/16/1896 + 2/14/1969) married with Rosaria Rizzuto 1/15/1922
- Vincenza married with Antonino Cirrincione 1/7/1912
- Elisabetta married with Salvatore Lo Bue 1/4/1907
- Rosolino + 8/7/1877 age 2 y.
- Rosolino + 1/31/1881 age 3 m.
- Maria + 12/19/1883 age 2 y.
- Luigi + 1/17/1891 age 1 y.

I was always under the impression the Cristoforo and Loreto were brothers but from the information from Centro Meridionale Ricerche Genealogiche I guess I am incorrect.

In the book "le famiglie di Vallelunga" when the author write about Calcedonia Scarpinato he says that her husband Loreto Piazza was son of Manfredi and Rosalia Lo Destro. The last time I have searched only for Carla (there is no Carla but only Calcedonia) Scarpinato but I haven't searched for Loreto Piazza.

Now i am reading the book at pages 302-303 were the author write about the family of Loreto Piazza, and he says that Loreto Piazza was son of Manfredi and Rosalia LODATO

- Manfredi born 1/16/1890, emigrated in USA
- Calcedonio born 5/8/1898 + 5/26/1920, unmarried
- Giuseppa born 6/9/1901 married with Salvatore Ognibene 4/25/1920
- Beatrice born 2/11/1909, married with Antonino Gaeta 10/26/1930
- Rosalia + 10/18/1918, married with Baldassare Di Bella
- Salvatore born 11/7/1911 + 4/1/1988 married with Giuseppa Gugino 12/30/1934
- Manfredi + 5/5/1888
- Giuseppa + 1/27/1897
- Giovanni + 1/4/1904

Manfredi Piazza (b. 9/17/1822 +8/9/1904) was son of Cristofaro Piazza and Beatrice Fraterrigo. He has married Rosalia Lodato (daughter of Gioacchino and Cosima Crispino) 5/11/1845. They have had the following children:

- Beatrice + 5/27/1902, married with Vincenzo Piazza (son of Salvatore and Loreta Agnello) 5/8/1873
- Giuseppe married with Giuseppa Saglibene 1/20/1877
- Salvatore married with Vincenza Fiorella 8/25/1883
- LORETO
- Pasquale + 7/30/1860

I was wondering does the book indicated what other children that Cristofaro Piazza and Beatrice Fraterrigo had? I am trying to understand how Christoforo Piazza +12/08/1904 and Vincenzo b.abt 1840 +2/1918 are related to Manfredi Piazza b. 9/17/1822 +8/9/1904. We were always under the impression the Cristoforo Piazza and Loreto Piazza were brothers but it appears that that may be incorrect.

Currently our family Tree shows the following

Parents: Manfredi Piazza and Rosalia (Lodato)
Children: 1. Cristoforo Piazza and Concetta (Ciappa)
2. Vincenzo Piazza and Beatrice (nee)
3. Loreto Piazza and Calcedonia (Scarpinato)

I think we are missing a link somewhere.

In a previous message Marcello you indicate the following.

If my understanding is correct from family history Vincenzo and Cristofaro were brothers and Cristofaro was married to Concetta Ciappa. Cristofaro +12/8/1904 and he married Concetta Ciappa 1/23/1875.

I guess what I am asking is there information regarding Salvatore Piazza mentioned above?

No, Vincenzo Piazza (married to Beatrice Piazza) wasn't Cristofaro's (married to Concetta Ciappa) brother, because:
Vincenzo was son of Salvatore and Loreta Agnello

Vallelunga was founded in XVIII century and the first families came from the nearest villages and towns (expecially from the Madonie area and from Mussomeli).
Accordig to what Giuseppe Cipolla write in his book, In Vallelunga there were 3 different families with the surname Piazza and he doesn't indicate a common ancestor.
So be quiet, don't pull your hair out!
