Basile family and Tomaccio family in Tricarico, Italy 1850?

Postby Familyman500 » 02 Nov 2010, 21:53

Hi,
I am working on my wife's family genealogy tree. This post will be the first of several that I plan for her ancestors. If anyone has any knowledge of her family please share it with me - as I would sincerely appreciate the feedback.

I have reviewed some of the Civil Registration records (even though I do not speak/read Italian) for Potenza, Basilicata, Italy for the families of Basile and Tomaccio. Unfortunately, I have had no luck. The individuals that I have searched for are listed below. I will be indebted to anyone who can help. Thank you!

Rocco Basile: born 1850?
He married Carmina Tomaccio (born 1854) in 1873.
Both were born and married in Tricarico, Matera, Basilicata, Italy.
Their son, Antonio Basile was born on August 4, 1874 or 1875 or 1876.

Rocco's parents are Antonio Basile, born 1830?, and Rosso (or Rosa) Lomastro.

Carmina's parents are Giuseppe Tomaccio, born 1829, and Maria Frumento, born 1829.

Thanks Biff, I did find that post in GenForm about a month ago. It definately is a connection for me. I had emailed the person who posted that - but, have not heard back from her yet.

Thanks for the help. By the way did you see my response to your help with the Di Savo (pattig) family post? You have truly been a help to us all and I do appreciate it. Keep up the great work you do!
