Maimone

Postby TriciaFierro » 11 Nov 2010, 02:10

Hello!
I am sarching for more information on where my great great-grandparents Prospero and Stella Maimone came from in Italy. I ahve a ship manifest from when they came together to America in 1894 on the Kaiser Wilhelm II. He was born about 1870 and she was born about 1874. They settled in Birdsboro, Pennsyvania and lived their remaining yrs there. They went on to have at least 8 children. Those that I have found are: my great-grandmother Mary was born in 1895, Antonio about 1900, Joseph about 1901, Florence about 1905, Frank about 1907, Lewis 1909, Peter about 1911 and John about 1914. Prospero's mother Mary also lived with them in Birdsboro, PA in 1920 when the census was taken and she was 75 yrs old at that time. I'm not sure when she came over to America. Any information that might aid me in my reserach would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Thank you Michael! I am new to this so please bear with me if I am missing the obvious. I do have the ship manifests so I have the above info and I had their grave site info as well so birth and death dates I have. I know that Genoa & Gibraltor was the port but that wouldn't definitely be from where they came, would it? Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate anyu assistance I can get! :)
