Angiono from Piedicavallo

Postby cmore » 30 Nov 2010, 01:51

Looking for information on the Angiono Family. Cypriano (or Cipriani) Angiono was a stone cutter. Migrated to USA. Cypriano had a daughter Elisa who married a Prario from the same town. There was also Grato Angiono who was born in Piedicavallo in 1895, lived in the same house in Vermont as Cypriano and Elisa, but can not confirm Grato is Cypriano's son. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a good website to try they list alot of members of the Angiono family maybe you may find the person you are looking for.
There is only one listing on the site for a Grato Angiono not sure if it him.
Hope this helps some.

Hi!
Other than a later 1932 manifest, can't find Grato's original arrival
He was in the US by 1917, he listed his 'father' as someone he was supporting on his WWI draft registration card

thanks for your help! I will check out the SS5 app. I did find that elisa's husband and Grato both used the same address on thier WWI draft registration. Also found Grato on the 1910 census as a boarder and apprentice granite-cutter. The head of household was the name Valz (also a stone-cutter). I have not found anything Grato's original arrival. Could Grato be a nickname? I know he also went by "Andy". There were many families (stone masons) from piedicavallo that migrated to the US and settled in Barre Vt. But I'm not sure if Grato was Cypriano's son or possibly nephew.

My great grandfather lived in Prario village - Montensanaro - near Pedivacallo. I went there. Everyone is a Prario. It is near Biella Italy

He came to Vermont with brother via French passport. I believe one of his brothers was a Grato. I have info but not with me at this time. I am visiting in Vermont right now. I visited Hope cemetery in Barre Vermont today. I found gravestone with Amabile Prario.

My email is bakerkb@comcast.net. I can get you more info when I return home.
