Help with death record?

Postby montclaire » 01 Dec 2010, 07:19

Hello, I need some help with a death record in Italian. I have a tough time with these. I think I've found the record of a relative, Andrea Genovese. His father was Leonardo and his wife was Maria Giovanna Sabia, and it looks like that info matches what I'm seeing.

Does it give his mother's name? Cresenzia L-something I'm seeing? How about date of birth or age at time of death? He should have been born around 1813.

Thanks in advance

The picture is very blurry and too small.

I tried importing the image into my photo program and adjusting the focus. It is still out of focus and illegible. Zooming in on it makes it even more so. It can't be read, as it is now.

I don't know why it saved it like that, I'll have to try to pull it up again and re-save.

Well I found it again but I can't upload images from where I'm at, it's listing 230 in the 1884 Atti Di Morte for Avigliano, Pz. I'll post a link but I don;t think it'll work.

The link requires a registration to Ancestry...

Yeah, I figured. It'll just have to wait, if it's really Andrea, he's dead 126 years. I don't think a couple hours will kill him.

Haha, thanks for posting the whole thing though. I'm guessing either Lorusso or Larosa, both Russo and Rosa are common names in that region. Unfortunately the marriage records are well before the start of the ancesrty docs so I guess it'll have to stay a small mystery for now.

I'll try to work up a death certificate for Crescenzia tonight going off of both names.
