This does seem like it would be him. I have a passenger list with his wife and several children on it dated in 1912. He came over first. There were no children born to them between 1907 and 1912, the last in Bari being born in 1907 and the next one in NY in 1913. And they seemed to have one every year before the separation and afterwards as well.
I'm not entirely sure that Antonnia's name was Scarola though. The info you gave helps a lot. thank u

Gosh, u r a wealth of information! I'm so glad i stumbled on this site. Census records in NY are only as good as the information provided and it seems to vary widely, the information u have given me helps tremendously with sorting it all out! Thank you very much! No I'm off to find info ond my great great Grandfather, Giuseppe Scarola!
My great grandmother was Rosa Tetro from Grumo Appula, Bari, Puglia, Italy. She was born 29 May 1899. She arrived in the US 14 May 1910, when she came over to work for her brother as a maid, and eventually married Francesco Paolo Creanza 16 Sep 1915. She lived in Conneticut, then the Bronx, and finally in Shirley LI, and had at least 9 children who lived to adulthood, one of which was my grandmother. I know she had many children who died young as well.
Her parents were Michele Tetro and Antonia Di Girolamo.
