Pretopapa Family Information

Postby piazza16428 » 31 Jan 2011, 15:04

I am trying to find information about a Camello Pretopapa from Frazzano, Sicily. I have found his manifest and shows that he arrived in this country in 1915 at the age of 30 (he was born on July 15, 1884). He married Maria Ravipinto once he arrived in the US and she was a young widow with three children, I believe her 1st husband Caligero Frankina died in a fire and she then married Carmello Pretopapa and had 5 more children with hime.

What I am trying to find out is any information that anyone would have regarding Carmello Pretopapa in Frazzano, such as who his parents were, and any siblings that he may have had.

Again Carmello was born July 15 1884 and arrived in this country in 1915 from Frazzano, Sicily, Italy.

Thanks in advance for any information that anyone can provide.

All the best - Sam Piazza

Hello Sam :-)

For reference, is this YOUR Carmelo's manifest from 1915?

He lists his mother, Rosa Petrolo in Frazzano, as relative in country he came from....
He is listed as 30, and married. He is going to his brother in law Lorenzo Presti in Easton, PA. Also states that he has been in USA before in 1909 and 1914.

POSSIBLE 1909 manifest... leaving wife in Italy, going to brother in law Giuseppe LoPresti in Easton, PA

On this one and the 1915 manifest, Carmelo's surname is spelled Protopapa.

You may want to view the microfilmed records held by the LDS.
They have available for rental the births, deaths and marriages from Frazzano for the years 1821 - 1910...

To find your local LDS FHC enter your zip code on this site...
