Rainone's from Brindisi, Panni Foggia, Prato

Postby VictoriaRainone » 01 Feb 2011, 03:14

My grandfather was Carmine Rainone from Brindisi, and Panni, Foggia. We also have family in Prato. I've been to these homes. In Panni my family once owned or still does own a music school. In Prato, they make clothing or did anyway. The Rainone's in my family immigrated to Brooklyn, NY in the 1920s. I'm looking for any information about the Rainone's of this region, though Brindisi is on the other side, east and south.

thanks,
victoria Rainone

Thank you Marty! Yes, he is the first one, born in 02 died in 66 in June. My grandmother's name is Lucia Rainone, she was a DelRae or DelRay maiden name and she was born in Calitri ner Napoli March 15, 1901. She had three sons, Michael Anthony, Anthony Michael and Carmine Jr. Anthony is my father who died August 17, 1993 at the age of 59. I am trying to find relatives, cousins, IN Italy. I know I have them, I met them when I was a teenager during a visit. Where did you get this information?

Thank you so much!

Hi Victoria
Lucia's parents were Antonio Del Re and Angela Rosa Di Milia. I am related to Enzo Cerreta, whose grandfather, Vincenzo Del Re, was a brother of Lucia. I can put you in contact with him if you'd like.

Yes, I would very much like to be in touch with anybody who may have information about my family. If Enzo is my grandmothers, brothers' grandson, he is my relation and I'd love to hear anything.

My email is: thubten@austin.rr.com

Thank you,
Victoria Rainone
