Pizzonia surname in Calabria

Postby pizzonia74 » 21 Feb 2011, 21:54

Does anyone have any information on the pizzonia surname? In Calabria, specifically? Because I have drawn a blank on it for the most part. My gg-grandpa was Vito Pizzonia, his father was Anthony, his father was Vito, and so on. If anyone could give me any information, that would be great. Thanks.

Hello :-)

Do you have US records? Census, manifest, military, etc?

Do you know where in the Calabria Region your GGGF was from?

POSSIBLY a ship manifest for Vito Pizzonia, arriving 1893. He was an agriculturist from Catanzaro (a province in Calabria)

Edit - Saw your documents for Vito on Ancestry... nice collection!
