Great Grandmother Maria Michela Panico

Postby Help » 24 Mar 2011, 17:20

My great grandmother Maria Michela Panico (married name Scandiffio) was born about 1853 in Pomarico, Italy. She immigrated to New York as a widow in 1908. I have been unable to find the place & date of her death & think perhaps she re-married in the U.S., or perhaps returned to Italy & died there. I would also love to know who her parents were. Her son Giuseppe Dominic Scandiffio was my grandfather.

if this is her. It seems she came here when she was 55 years of age.

Sailing from Naples on May 29th 1908. Which give or take 5 or so years puts her being born around 1855 or so.
