Terni/ Bernardini Early 1900s Garfagnana

Postby acartia » 12 May 2011, 14:02

My paternal grandparents, Costante Terni and Maria Bernardini both died sometime I think between 1918 and 1922.They had spent some time in Brazil, before returning to Italy to live in the Castelnuovo di Garfagnana general area. Their earlier children were born in Brazil, but the later(including my father,Italo) were born back in Italy in the Garfagnana area. Thanks to much help on this wonderful site,I am now just starting working on getting BDM certificates of my grandparents, father etc. I am placing this on the site in case there is another distant family member who may be trying to trace through these names as well,or it maybe of interest to someone in the future. My father and two of his sisters came to Australia within about 8 years of their parents passing away, and two of my cousins went to Scotland at a later date. John.
