Ships arrival manifest for Sicily and/or Italy

Postby trundo » 21 Jun 2011, 05:42

Is there an online site to search for records when ships arrived in Sicily's various ports? My great=great grandmothers brother left the USA (approx. 1935) and moved back to Sicily / Italy.

Thank you,

Tom

Tom, unfortunately, there are no known records of persons going into Italy.

If he returned to his original comune, a "Stato di Famiglia Storico" (search the forum) from the correct time period may have notations concerning his departure from and/or return to the comune, but this is really just a shot in the dark. In many cases it is impossible even to get the document, let alone be lucky enough to have it show the info you are seeking.
