Marco and Carmela Aiello

Postby smcdermott02 » 15 Sep 2011, 00:49

I am researching my husband's family and am having trouble finding anything on the Italian branch. All I know is this:

Marco and Camela Aiello were both born sometime around 1845 in Italy - according to family gossip, in Sicily - and they came to the U.S.A. sometime between 1886-1892, after they were married. At least one of their children was born in Italy, Carlo (Charles) and possibly the next two oldest, Rosa and Franco. They have other children - John and Anna (who is much younger than her other siblings and is still alive today).

I'm coming up with nil on Ancestry.com.

That is literally all I have. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any assistance!!

Marty - this is wonderful! Yes - I think that Cruciano is their oldest child. I am remembering a family story that Uncle Charlie's real name was something no one could quite remember, but they knew it wasn't Charles. The info on the naturalization document matches up with what I have since found - the birthdate and the names of his two children.

Thank you again!
