Postby Musicdad » 28 Sep 2011, 14:09

Looking for any information about Giuseppe Mercuri whose residence, in the year 1913, was 314 Madison Street, Greensburgh, Pennsylvania. Where he was born in Italy, his parents names, when he came to this country, and anything about his family or relatives.

Without some idea of Giuseppe's approx. year of birth it's a long-shot - BUT

Here is a POSSIBLE WWI Registration Card that may belong to him... (about 1918)
Joseph/Giuseppe Mercuri, living in the Pittsburgh area.
Looks like he receives his mail through at "V. Delucca(?) Co." on Webster AVe. in Allegheny PA
He is 39 years old (born 1879) and working for M. O'Herron as a laborer.
His nearest relative is a wife (no name given) in Nicastro, Italy.

Thread from 2007 concerning Giovanni Mercuri who appears to be Giuseppe's brother. 1913 manifest for Giovanni shows him going to his brother Giuseppe at 314 Madison St, Greensburg PA.

Thanks, Biff! :-D

Based on the information on that thread it appears that Giuseppe ARRIVED in 1913, and looks like he may have been born in Montefalcone Appennino :-)
