From 1870, the Colarossi Academy in Paris was for many years one of the most famous and prestigious private, fee-paying, art schools in Paris.

Its owner, Filippo Colarossi, born 21.4.1841, was a native of Picinisco in the valle de Comino of the Lazio region. It is south east of Rome, in the Abruzzi mountains of the Apennines.

Colarossi retired to his native village where he presumably died and was buried.

Is there anyone in Picinisco or knows someone in Picinisco that can find and take good photos of Colarossi's gravestone? Perhaps the cemetery as well, just to give an idea of his last resting place.

Any fresh ideas on this topic and how to tackle it would be most welcome.
