The Family History Center returned my cousins films. I'd follow Marty's advice on what films to get and how to find your local FHC.

I think being his was profession was cabinet maker in the 1930 census. The ship manfest listing him as a carpenter might possible be him.You said he was was from Sicily how did you get that info about him?

Hi Marty,
Thanks very much... seems that would be him... Knew from my parents that all my grandparents came over from Sicily...just not sure of his place of birth...and cannot find any death record or record of naturalization on him.

Did you try My Italian Family---I used them and got the documents in like 3 weeks!
