Can anyone read this?

Postby MCKay » 04 Apr 2012, 00:49

Can anyone tell me the name of this person listed on the birth certificate. As a plus it would be lovely if you could also tell me the father and mother's name. I'm really having trouble with the handwriting. Also, Why is the name listed on the far right different than the name listed in the certificate (is that a y or just a fancy swoosh for no reason)?

I have another image of this same certificate that is focused differently if this one is just too blurry. However, the other one isn't more in focus than this one. It's just different.

Wow, this is a tough one!

May I ask... is the comune PETRALIA SOPRANO?

Record is dated 29(?) June 1894 at 2 PM at the town hall
Before the official appeared Giovanni Tagliavini(???), age 29, peasant farmer to declare that at 2:30 PM on the 25th(?) of the current month, was born a female child to Maria Vaccarella, his wife, living with him.
The child was given the name Antonina...

Haha, that fancy swoosh really threw me off. I feel like I just won the lottery! This is exactly the document I need! Does anyone know how I can request an official copy of this from Italy?

Address:
Ufficio dello Stato Civile
